A cross-training fitness system that offers all the benefits of a personal trainer with the motivation of a small group class. Clients attend their dedicated class time either Monday-Wednesday-Friday or Tuesday-Thursday-Saturday. Classes are 55 minutes each, and are designed to push each client to the next level. Whether your goal is to lose weight or bulk up, be able to do 100 push-ups or just that first pull-up, the Training Room in Winter Park will get you there.
Classes are bootcamp-style, meaning that you are expected to be on time, or else there may be “burpees” involved! Generally, classes will start with a cardio and stretching warm-up followed by a circuit of exercises intended to target a specific range of muscle groups. The Training Room promotes an inviting and positive atmosphere where clients find the motivation to flourish. All participants are expected to be collegial and encouraging to their classmates.

At WPTR, we focus on Ashtanga Yoga (Eight Limbed Yoga), which is a traditional form of yoga originally taught by K. Pattabhi Jois from Mysore India. The asana (posture) part of the practice involves a set sequence of postures that are meant to strengthen and detoxify the body.
This sequence starts with a series of standing postures, and moves to floor poses. As one practices this series of asanas over a period of time, the person not only learns to master these poses, but the body becomes more fluid in the movement through the practice. This allows the mind to become more clear, and the nervous and digestive systems work more efficiently.

A 30 to 45 minute focus on a critical muscle group, which is a key element in improving posture and balance. A strong core reduces the likelihood of back pain, and provides protection against injury by responding efficiently to stress. When properly strengthened, the abdominal muscles provide flexibility as well.

~ Assessments are performed prior to beginning training. This covers medical history, lifestyle, goals, imbalances, strengths & weaknesses, etc.
~ Beginning sessions focus on strength and aerobic conditioning.
~ Intermediate sessions focus on more high intensity for people with an aerobic base, jogging/biking/tennis/fitness/etc.
~ Advanced sessions are designed for competitive athletes.
